Huge gain in lowering virus load

On the COVID wards C5 and Eov of the Radboudumc, with positively tested corona patients, two UV-boxes are installed as of today. These were purchased for the disinfection of medical devices, such as wrist boxes and cables to continuously monitor patients' vital signs. Also, patient-related tablets, smartphones, VR glasses, smartphones, and stethoscopes of employees can be disinfected in 25 seconds with these UV boxes. Harry van Goor, Professor of Surgery Education: 'The boxes are a huge asset in reducing the virus load and risk of coronavirus transmission'.
