From 17 to 20 November, we were at WFHSS this year. This is the annual congress for sterilization in Geneva, Switzerland. The UV Smart team was on a booth with the D60. Furthermore, Stefan Rudhart of Marburg University presented his research on disinfection of flexible channelless ENT scopes at the WFHSS congress.

For this study, Stefan used the Impelux™ technology. Disinfecting flexible ENT scopes (FEs) is often expensive, time-consuming and is becoming increasingly complex due to increasing hygiene requirements. After favourable results in the disinfection of rigid endoscopes using Impelux™ UV-C light technology, they tested the same method for the reprocessing of channel-less flexible endoscopes.
The conclusion of the study: Impelux™ UV-C light technology efficiently reduces bacterial contamination of FEs and can be useful in daily practice.
